SOCO is an industrial supply and engineering business based in Palmerston North, supporting customers across the lower North Island. We supply pumps, electric motors, industrial vibrators, drives and a wide range of industrial equipment and components. Our well stocked warehouse allows most products to be supplied off the shelf, helping maintain reliable supply and turnaround for contractors, councils, workshops and industrial sites.
Alongside our supply capability, we operate a fully equipped engineering workshop providing repair, rebuild, machining and motor rewind services. Our team works with industrial, commercial and infrastructure applications, focusing on practical, experience based solutions that keep critical systems running. Whether it’s a breakdown, a rebuild or a replacement decision, our approach is grounded in real world engineering and reducing downtime for essential equipment.
Industrial Supply and components
SOCO supplies pumps, electric motors, industrial vibrators, drives, bearings, capacitors and a wide range of power transmission components for industrial, commercial and infrastructure applications. Our warehouse holds extensive stock across key product lines, allowing most items to be supplied off the shelf and supporting reliable supply and turnaround when equipment needs to be replaced.
We import and supply established global brands including ABB, OLI, Brook Crompton, Crompton Greaves, OLI, Grundfos, OSIP, Calpeda, DAB and Caprari. This range supports both day to day maintenance requirements and larger industrial projects where dependable equipment and consistent availability are essential.

Workshop capabilities
Our workshop handles repair, rebuild and machining work for industrial pumps, motors and mechanical equipment. Capability includes:
- Large scale machining with heavy duty lathes
- pump rebuilds, including flood and stormwater systems
- motor rewinds up to 355 kW
- practical repair versus replacement assessment
- 24 hour industrial breakdown response
The team includes fitter/turners, machinists and service technicians experienced in industrial and infrastructure applications.
MACHINING SERVICES
Machining, turning, milling, CNC milling, flywheel grinding, surface grinding, balancing.
WELDING SERVICES
Our welders use mig, tig, stick, aluminium, stainless steel, bronze and cast-iron welding.
FABRICATION SERVICES
Manufacture and fabrication include design and specification for project one offs and runs.
Ready to install house water pumps sets
We supply ready‑to‑install house water pump sets for household and lifestyle properties with up to three bathrooms. These units are suitable for drinking water and general animal water supply applications.
Each pump set features a stainless steel body and runs on single‑phase power with a standard plug, making installation straightforward for homeowners, electricians or plumbers.
Every set includes:
